One thing many people want is a relaxing bath, but bath fizzers and bath bombs can get expensive. What many people don’t know is that you can make your own for a fraction of the cost of pre-made bath bombs and fizzers.

How To Make Fizzy Aromatherapy Bath Bombs

-2 Cups Baking Soda
-1 Cup Citric Acid
-4 teaspoons massage oil ( or 2 teaspoons essential oil and 2 teaspoons olive oil)
-Spray bottle with water  other shape
-Mold (60 mm 2 part plastic ball or any other shape you’d like)

Mix dry ingredients, then slowly spray with water until mixture clumps together (careful not to activate the bath bomb!). Pack into mold.

I’ve done body wraps before, and they are AMAZING! At home body wraps are best to do after taking a warm shower or bath to allow your pours to open up so your body can absorb the nutrients the wrap is offering.

In many spas and tanning salons, body wraps are offered, and most of the time, they are expensive unless you can get a “deal of the month”. At home body wraps tend to be just as effective and can leave you feeling better (and less sweaty) than many wraps offered in commercial businesses.

Honey Yogurt Body Wrap

4 c. plain yogurt (not Greek-style)
2 c. honey
2 c. aloe vera
8 – 10 drops each lavender & rose oils

1. Mix ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Using your hands, spread mixture over skin, paying attention to dry patches.
3. Tightly wrap masked areas with plastic wrap. This keeps your body heat in and pores open, allowing the mask to penetrate.
4. Wrap body in a towel or light blanket and relax for 30 minutes (I suggest laying in a clean tub).
5. To remove, rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
6. Drink lots of water to rehydrate!

Like many women, I’ve dropped my compacts and have broken the powder cakes. I end up either throwing them away, or leaving them unused in my makeup cases. But I have found a great way to fix that!

Pour a few teaspoons of rubbing alcohol over the cracked make-up. (Isopropyl Alcohol can be found at at most stores. It might go by a different name if you’re not in America). Stir and break up the chunks until all the makeup is dissolved. Set out on a flat surface overnight. The alcohol dries up and you’re left with perfect and fresh makeup.

So this last tip is more of a 12 in 1. The graphic is pretty self explanatory, but I’ll go over what it holds (going from left to right, top to bottom in that order) as it could be hard to read the text.

healthy home remedies

As with any home remedy, be careful. If you are unsure if any of the ingredients will have any adverse affects on you, your skin, or your health, DO NOT DO IT! Be careful when applying anything near or around your eyes, as you don’t want to get anything in them. And finally, these tips may work for some, and not others, so if you’re not seeing results, don’t worry. They’re home remedies for a reason, but either way, I hope these help out in some way, even if it just gives you softer skin and shiny hair. Good luck all!
