I just got my insoles from BzzAgent this morning.

Before I get to my review, let me give you the facts.

Guaranteed to provide all-day comfort or your money back, Dr. Scholl’s® For Her High Heel Insoles help prevent foot aches and pain caused by wearing high heels two inches and higher. Slip these specially crafted insoles into your favorite pair of heels, and read up on the product to fuel your future Bzz:

  • Unique design is clinically proven to help prevent pain from high heels 2” and up
  • Ultra-soft gel arch shifts pressure off ball of foot
  • Immediate and long-lasting comfort guaranteed, or your money back
  • Practically invisible, even in strappy heels
  • Slim design won’t make shoes feel tight
  • Insoles stay firmly in place, and are easily removable without damaging shoes
  • Made to fit women’s sizes 6–10, including all open-style shoes

STAND, WALK AND STRUT IN COMFORT

Dr. Scholl’s® products are backed by a highly technical group of scientists focused on foot care. Extensive research, development and clinical testing go into every product, ensuring they’re effective before they meet your feet. Because the makers of Dr. Scholl’s® For Her products are focused on women’s needs, clinical studies for the line were performed on ladies just like you — high-heel wearing general managers, students, office workers and busy moms (to name a few)!

Now, I don’t usually wear heels, and when I do, I have some good tolerance for them. I mean, I was in a Rocky Horror Shadow cast, wearing stiletto heels, and dancing for 2 years, so the thought of not having to tolerate the pain of high heels when I wear them was a dream when I got the campaign invite.

The insoles are a clear/cloudy gel with a sticky bottom to be able to stay put in your heels, which I think is absolutely amazing. Too many times have I used insoles that move around in my shoes, I wouldn’t want that in my heels, especially open toe or strappy heels.

The gel forms to your feet, giving you amazing support and it does indeed take pressure off the ball of your foot.

I can definitely tell there is comfort right off the bat. I tried my insoles in my highest, most painful heels, and they usually give me trouble in the first few minutes, but not today! My feet are comfy!

And because the gel forms to your feet, your shoes don’t feel like they’re being stretched to their limit. They feel natural and comfortable.

The insoles can be removed and reused, so no need to buy more than one pair of insoles. Plus, the insoles can be removed without damaging the inside of your shoes. The insoles are sticky, but not adhesive. They stick just enough to stay put, but come off just as easily as turning off your tv.

The only downside to these, for me at least, is that they only fit sizes 6 through 10. I wear a size twelve, so my heels don’t get any insole action when I wear my high heels.

Aside from that, my feet feel amazing in my heels. Much better than without my insoles.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Update #3

BB cream, Combination Skin, Garnier

So the campaign is over. I’m about to go do the post campaign survey over at BzzAgent.com in a few minutes, but I before I do that, I want to give you guys my last and final words about what I think of this product. To see my initial thoughts, check out Update #2.

First off, I love this product. It’s the first foundation/concealer I’ve found that works with my combination skin, and the first that I can stand to wear all day. However, I also found that if I don’t moisturize before I put it on, I can see the dry skin flakes (particularly AFTER I shower). So, one step before I apply it is I have to moisturize, even though the product says you don’t have to. It could be different for you, so if you try it, just experiment with it.

Second, it’s very watery when it comes out of the tube. This is both good and bad. Good for the reason that it spreads nicely and is easy to blend you edges, plus it dries within minutes of application. Bad for the reason that if you’re not expecting it to be that runny when you first open it and go to use it, more than likely you might make a little mess (I did that, but it’s easy to clean up if it isn’t on carpet or other porous surfaces).

Third, I did have to reapply after a couple hours. It does state that on the bottle, particularly if you’re in direct sun and/or sweating. Again, this is good and bad. Good because if you only intend to wear it for a couple hours, and that’s it, you’re golden. Bad, that if you’re out and about (say at work), you don’t want to be reapplying your make up every 2 – 3 hours.

Finally, you don’t need much to get a good foundation. A little goes A LONG WAY. I’ve been using my BB Cream every day and still have almost a full tube.

So over all, it’s a good product. I highly recommend this.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream Update #2

BB cream, beauty, Garnier, Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream, health, Shopping, Skin Care

From my experience, I have found that Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream is absolutely the best! I normally have combination skin, with an oil T-zone and dry everywhere else. I have horrible shine, and my pores look terrible without make up, and with other make ups. I put on the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream and my face lit up. Smaller pores, soft & moist skin, no more oil, and a lot less shine within minutes. Within the hour, I left (on foot) to go job hunting. By the end of the day, after walking about 6 miles and up many hills in the sun, I was sweating like no other. By the time I got home, my face was still soft and moist, no shine, and not oily! The sweat just wicked off and didn’t stick around. Now, I never wear make up because I can feel it. I didn’t have this problem with Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream. I completely forgot I was wearing it! I love this stuff, and I plan on investing in this B.B. cream. I would highly recommend this product to all of my girlfriends, and everyone else.

Just an F.Y.I for those with temperamental skin:
Some people have experienced more breakouts from using this product. As well, it dried out their skin. I, personally, have not had this issue, (mostly because my skin isn’t so sensitive and I am not prone to acne and breakouts) but I would still recommend this product but with a caution. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to break outs, be careful with this product. I would suggest finding someone who has the same skin tone as yourself who might already have this product in your shade and trying it out first. Or, if you buy this product, make sure you have someone who would benefit from this (in your shade of course) if you should have negative results.

Otherwise, enjoy this product! I have, and I hope other’s will, too.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream Update

02 Tuesday Apr 2013

So, you all know I got an invite on the 15th of March for Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream. I just got it in the mail today, and I’m fairly excited about it. I will give you some of the details about the B.B. cream, to give you a little taste and maybe give you an idea if you want to try it before I update what it does for me.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream comes in three (3) shades right now; light to medium, medium to deep, and deep. I picked medium to deep as my skin tone is tan with olive undertones (gotta love being half European, Filipino, Native American, and Spanish!), and I thought that light to medium would be too light, and deep was obviously too dark. This B.B. cream is supposed to be moisturizing, helping in the dry areas, but oil-free to help combat the oily areas of your face. As well, it gives “immediate skin perfecting coverage for skin that looks naturally more even, radiant, and smooth”, meaning it helps with uneven, blotchy skin tone, like mine. Also, from other customer reviews, it’s light enough that most people who wear it don’t notice it, and the coverage is amazing.

Some statistics given by Garnier:

After just one use:
90% had a more even complexion
93% saw a more healthy glow
96% saw smoother skin

Controls shine
Minimizes pores
Evens skin tone
Hydrates
Protects with SPF 20 Sunscreen
Works on Combination to Oily skin
Ultra-absorbant
Won’t clog pores or cause breakouts
Oil-free and non-greasy

Now that all that technical stuff is out of the way, I just tried my first application of this BB Cream. So far, all I have are great things to say about it. Pretty much everything that Garnier says it does, it really does! I woke up with uneven, shiny, blotchy, oil skin with a pimples popping up. The second I finished applying the BB Cream, my skin was moist but not oily, less shine (but the shine that’s there is from the light reflecting off the shiny things in my house), and a much more even skin tone. I can’t say how much I love this stuff, and this is coming from someone who HATES wearing full coverage make up. I can barely tell I’m wearing it, and that is just AWESOME!

I highly encourage those of you who wear make up to try this out.

Now I know I promised last time that I would update as soon as I got a campaign invite from BzzAgent. Well, it came sooner than I thought! But first, I want to explain what BzzAgent is. BzzAgent is a website that, if you sign up, will give away so many products for free for you to try. This happens by filling out surveys that will tell other companies (such Like Garnier) if you’re someone they are looking for to try their products. I’m taking a few of their FAQ’s and posting them below, but if you want the full story, check out the website, BzzAgent.com.

WHAT IS BZZAGENT?

We’re an international network of consumers who voluntarily participate in word-of-mouth (WOM) programs for a variety of products and services. Basically, we’re a community of communicators.

WHAT’S “BZZ”?

It’s what we call word of mouth. It’s what we all do every day. It’s the sharing of honest opinions about a product or service between two or more people both online and offline.

WHAT DO BZZAGENTS DO EXACTLY?

The short answer: try products and services, then share your honest opinions about them with people you know. The “won’t fit in a tweet” answer: we find the products and brands that you’ll love and give you a way to experience them, then you share your thoughts about them by starting natural, genuine conversations with real-life friends and online buds via sites including Facebook, Twitter and blogs. You get to try awesome products, your friends get to learn about awesome products and awesome products get even awesomer by listening to your valued feedback. Oh, and did we mention the better you participate, the more awesome products you’ll get to try? Awesome!

IS THERE A COST TO JOIN?

Nope, there’s no cost to join BzzAgent.

With that said, I got an invite on the 15th of March for Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-Free B.B. Cream. Now, it’s a fairly new product that’s been introduced to the market, I haven’t tried it yet, and I’m waiting for my BzzKit (the product from BzzAgent) to come in the mail. But! I will give you some of the details about the B.B. cream, to give you a little taste and maybe give you an idea if you want to try it before I update what it does for me in a few weeks or so.

Some statistics given by Garnier:

96% saw smoother skin

Like I said, I’m still waiting for my BzzKit to come, but if anyone out there who’s been wondering about this product, I figured I’d give some information about it. I, for one, can’t wait to try this. It looks very promising and I will update as often as possible with how well, or how bad, it works for me when I get my kit. Also, I will post before, during, and after photos as I try this product.

In the mean time, check out BzzAgent (link provided above). I think most of you will like it (btw, it’s only available in the United States, Canada, and U.K.).
